Dungeon Islands

The Story:

Somewhere deep in the ocean off the eastern coast of Sarm, there exists a mysterious island chain known as the Dungeon Islands. Shrouded in mist, no one is certain how many islands there are, as the only way to get to them is by using a magic portal.

According to legend, the portal possesses some intelligence, and only activates for individuals that are deemed to be worthy. But this is only speculation, the portal had not been activated for many years, and because of this, it and the islands were all but forgotten.

Recently, however, some aspiring adventurers rediscovered the portal, and, to their surprise, the portal activated, apparently deeming them worthy. The first set of dungeons were discovered and explored, and some of the adventurers who survived the experience were surprised to learn that when they returned to the portal, it allowed them to travel to another island and another set of dungeons.

Since then, the Islands have been used as a proving grounds. Additional islands and dungeons have been found, each more deadly than the last. Do you have what it takes to discover the next one?

The Game:

Dungeon Islands is a single-player 2D graphical tile-based dungeon crawler, in the spirit of early rogue-likes and the Ultima series. You create a character then set off to explore and conquer the dungeons. Should you survive, you may find that upon returning to town the portal allows you to travel to a new island with more difficult dungeons.
